I've been in Pattaya for a little over 3 months now and flew home on March 18th. I lived in Unixx / Pratamnak Hill and I can only say that there are a lot of Russian-speaking people there, many live there with their children and in all the time since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine I have never seen any quarrels among themselves.
Russians and Ukrainians were often seen demonstrating together against the war and most Thais didn't care where the tourist came from anyway.
I'm back in Germany / Europe now and a lot is different here. Russians are treated with hostility here, Russian restaurants are avoided, Russian children are treated with hostility at school in Germany etc. I hear the same thing from friends in France, Poland and Italy, and I think that's a shame. Not every Russian wants this war, but all Russians are denounced.
The behavior is just as wrong as calling every German a Nazi as it was in people's heads all over Europe a few years ago.
Face this is not true.
